Hillary Clinton wins Indiana and id well to credibly rebut any calls for her to cede the race!
Unless the Clintons have some blockbuster dirt on Obama, it's all over except the further damage they can do to Democrat unity between now and convention time.
Conventional thinking tells me Obama can't win in November. But that's assuming a sense of where middle America is on Liberal policies and Obama's radical associations. The fact is 'middle America" is a moving target. Younger voters are more willing to throw caution to the wind. Older voters who've lived under extreme partisan bickering, not arguing, Bickering, get weary of the show. Add in Iraq and the economy and anything could happen.
At this point, Obama's campaign would have to implode.
bluecollarbytes, I understand what your saying that Obama probably won't make it, but then anything could happen, I do agree.
backroads, do you actually think if Obama wins the primary he can actually beat McCain, I personally don't but have my doubts that he would.
Today when I went to my tax accountant, a late twenty some thing, Latino Lady, stated very strongly that we will never vote for a black person. I was surprised about her depth of feeling, and she went further about how frightened she was of Obama.
Diane, we're in a country where we have it so good but where so many insist everything is so wrong. It is possible.
What scared her about Obama?
Yes, many things are good in this Country, but there are things that are not going right for a great many people. Health care is one example. It needs a complete over haul.
I don't know what frightened her about Obama, but she said he would be worse then Bush, whom she was not happy with. But,she was afraid of him. She came from Chile. her Uncle was a Colonel in Pinochet's Military. He was forced to leave and move to the US. He is a Republican.
Nice Lady, but frightened by Obama, which surprised me. I believe she agrees like I do that he is a crook.
This gal really likes Hillary, but will vote for McCain, if Hillary does not run.
backroads, I think I do know why she was afraid of him, and we all should. Look he sat in that church for twenty years listening to hate about us!! White people, hate, Ayers bomb our Federal buildings, and Judges home, over 40 buildings and that his good buddy!! He knew him since 1988.
That's why, and that's why I'm afraid.
Yes, Obama is not who he says he is. He expects us to evaluate him based on what he rambles on about during the campaign and to disregard what he's done and who he has associated with.
Which makes you wonder what is his true agenda?
I think it resembles Wright's mantra.
No wonder that young Lady was frightened, Bush has weakened our Constitution, it's not good.
She is correct to be frightened by separatist hatespeak. The Wrights of the country don't understand many come here for a reason.
Coming from Chile she has already experienced much hate and murder by her government.
She offers a unique perspective. Immigrants are an overlooked reminder that this country isn't as bad as many doom 'n gloomers insist.
Tell that to some other people on the vine.I was told, I should have left my Accountant. Funny, Obama and Wright can say what they want, but if somebody else states something, I'm to leave and find another Accountant.
I have noticed a disturbing number of people are gripped by scenarios portraying the U.S. as a terrible place. I'm more confident about the future. It won't be easy, but it's doable.
